Pupil and Sports Premium Funding
Pupil Premium
The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their wealthier peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.
Sports Funding
The PE and sport premium is a government funding stream designed to help primary schools improve the quality of PE and sport activities they offer.
We use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport that we offer.
This means that we use the premium to develop or add to the PE and sport activities that our school already offers, or make improvements that will benefit future pupils.
